Comfortably Contemporary

A once large and disconnected space is now a warm, welcoming home infused with the client’s love of Asian-inspired design. By honoring her experiences abroad and reimagining the layout, the transformation created a sense of comfort and balance.

Kitchen After

Main Living & Kitchen Area

This beautiful redesign came to life through:

  • Re-envisioning the layout by removing the original corner kitchen to make room for a dedicated dining area (not pictured)
  • Adding a central wall to provide additional storage for cabinets and appliances
  • Opening the space to natural light with an arched window that brightens the entire room
  • Showcasing her professional history with a red antique Chinese cabinet that adds warmth and character
  • Incorporating streamlined cabinetry with horizontal-grain wood and subtle bronze accents for a modern, yet inviting feel

Bath Transformation

The bathroom was equally reimagined to feel airy, calm, and personal by:

  • Sharing a single plumbing column between the shower and tub, framed with glass on both sides to maximize openness
  • Designing a custom storage cabinet with reeded glass that offers both functionality and a place to display meaningful pieces
